The Siri Guru Granth Sahib is a visible manifestation of a subtle consciousness - the Teacher who Awakens us through Sound.
When we as humans hear wisdom, we sometimes get lost in the personality and identity of the one who spoke that wisdom. The Shabad Guru transcends this.
The person is not the Teacher. The Universal Wisdom that flows through that person, and is spoken - that is the Teacher. Rather than getting caught in personalities and historical individuals, the Shabad Guru asks us to recognize the One Sound, the One Wisdom that has been trying to call us Home, throughout the ages and through many historical individuals.
